Episode 1: It’s Alive!

We catch up with Dexter 38 days after he kills his brother, the Ice Truck Killer, on the last episode of season 1. Dexter seems to have some trouble coping with the death of his brother and finds himself unable to kill again, at least for the moment. Part of the reason was also due to Sgt. Doakes always following him around as well.
I found it odd when he couldn’t kill the voo-doo priest and I laughed when Chino got away from him on the table because he didn’t use enough tape to tape him to the table. That was a good comic relief.
And the end of the episode where they find all the body pieces in the bags in the ocean… we are setting up a good theme for this season.
