Episode 10: There’s Something about Harry
Dexter and Doakes kinda have a talk-out where Doakes spills something about Harry and upon more investigation on Dexter’s part, he learns that Harry committed suicide. All this time I never remember hearing about how Harry died, it was something that I wondered about during last season, but I never heard it come up. In the very last scene of the show, after Doakes witnesses Dexter kill someone new, Dexter is reminded of when Harry saw one of Dexter’s murders and how Harry got sick over it. It was shortly after that, that Harry died. Dexter now believe that he is responsible for Harry killing himself, since he witnesses the brutality that Dexter was capable of in reality, rather than just in theory.
I think that the idea of Dexter drugging Doakes and rubbing his fingerprints on those knives and that cleaver was genius. I can’t wait to see what happens when they find those tools in the ocean.
Lila takes a date-drug in an effort to frame Batista, all in an effort to get back at Dexter. I guess that she is going to try and blackmail Dexter into coming back to her, or she will press charges against Batista. I am betting that Lila is biting off more than she can chew by messing with Dexter and that she will soon end up dead.
I still don’t think Deb and Lundy will last very long, even with the talk in this episode about “what happens after this case ends”.
Next Week:
It shows scenes from what it describes as the “last 2 episodes” and it shows Doakes escaping the cabin. It also shows Lila in the hospital and accusing Batista of date rape.

Haven’t seen S02E10 yet, but I do recall that according to S01E03, “Popping Cherry,” Dexter kills the nurse who is poisoning Harry (I think that was his first kill) and Harry dies about a year later due to “hardened arteries.” I guess this means that Dexter was mistaken?
Okay, so as I thought, Dexter is going to plant his murder instruments with Doakes’ fingerprints on them in the bay. But what happens when they are found? Sure, Doakes’ denials and ravings about Morgan will fall on deaf ears at first, but eventually, as a trial draws near, Dexter is in real trouble. Doakes can’t stay in the cabin forever, and Dexter probably would not choose to kill him, even at the expense of getting caught. To do so would be a betrayal of the character, I think.

Lila needs to go! And hopefully Dexter will perform his civil duty. I do like how they twisted the outcome of Dexter’s latest victim. On how Doakes reacted to it…”stay away from me”. Truly terrific stuff. I think it was a mistake to not kill Doakes. I believe that Dexter will be barely a step ahead for a long while. I hope this season ends like the first season. meaning.. not in a cliffhanger.

I think Doakes will die some other way. I agree that to kill him would be way outside Dexter’s MO.
Lila hasn’t quite done enough for Dexter to kill her, but she’s coming close. She’s got it in for both Rita and Deb.

I Didn’t think Deb and Lundy would last too long either.
They were bound to break up in the end.
It’s just not “Debra” enough to have a successful relationship;
But I thought that her dating Lundy would end up with her having her eyes on Dexter as a suspect.
Guess I was wrong ^.^
