Episode 7: That Night, A Forest Grew

Lila is playing Dexter, the fire at the end proves that. And once he finally finds out, if he doesn’t kill her, he will dump her and she will be gone. Her days are numbered.
Rita finally stands up to her mother and tells her to get out. It’s about time. She was just weird.
The way Dexter setup Doakes was sweet. He played him quite well, using Doakes’ temper against him. And now Doakes looks like a psycho. I am betting he will keep following Dexter around, trying to find something on him and expose him somehow. This fight isn’t over, but it will be sweet to see where it goes.
Hopefully Dexter and Rita will make-up soon and this whole turmoil will be over. We only have 5 more episodes this season, so if will be fun to see what happens.

I really disliked tonights episode. Way too much drama, I felt like I was watching a Soap, not impressed. Also, so much sex..it was like Dexters own porno show for half the episode. I cant see the relationship between Debra and Lundy going anywhere, which is annoying. I like the way Dexter set up Doakes, but he’s being stupid and going to get caught. And what the hell is going on why Lila? Her character is so messed up. Im afraid the show is looking like a huge let down this season.

Yes, I had the same thoughts about Dexter killing Lila. The preview for the next episode reveals someone dies. They want you to think its Doakes, but I think Lila may die and here’s why.
I say she tries to kill Dexter and or hurt his ex and kids. Why, you ask? Because she just sold her cannibalism work of art and right after dexter doesn’t answer her calls, she burns it down. Obviously she’s pissed b/c he’s not answering so she successfully got sympathy and a promise that he’ll never leave her. The way she orchestrated this was obvious.
Here’s my theory: She was pissed at dexter, so she took it out on this statue she just sold. She didn’t want to let it go because it was HERS. she owned it. she feels the same way about dexter and will kill him before she lets anyone else have him, just like the art. she tries to hurt his ex or even him so I think Dexter’s final “step” of rehab is to kill Lila.
I think the writing of this show is brilliant, just brilliant.

Lila willn’t be killed off, they killed the “bad guy” last season i don’t see them repeating that again. I have a feeling that either Rita or Deb will be killed by Lila.

I don’t think Deb will be killed. I don’t think that would do good for the story. I can see Lila getting killed though. I like Lauren’s idea about why.

I don’t think they will kill Deb off. Our theory is that somehow the guy Dexter beat up in Naples will come looking for him and its him that Dexter chain saws next episode. Doakes is too key of a player. Too easy to kill off already. He gets framed for the murders in the final episode and somehow Dex frames him and good, since the cops are looking for one of their own for the Bay Harbor Butcher. Deb is looking for a father figure in Lundy and she realizes it and is somehow freed in the end. They never sleep together. Dexter has to end up killing Lila too. She finds out his secret. And can I say Rita is just too goody goody. I wish they would off her. But must maintain PC since she has little kids and their Dad is already dead….who would care for them. Logical theory is Dex would have to, or Grandma, but I think that story line is exhausted. Anyway, that is our theory. Great show. Can’t wait until next week.
